Agriculture Councils
The Aayarpadi Agri Council is dedicated to transforming Tamil Nadu's agricultural landscape through focused cluster development and farmer-centric interventions. Its objective is to identify key agricultural regions based on specific commodities — such as paddy in Thanjavur, vegetables in Coimbatore, millets in Ramanathapuram, and turmeric in Erode — covering geographies from Tiruvallur to Kanyakumari.
By onboarding 1,000–2,000 farmers per cluster and gathering real-time data over 6–12 months, the council aims to address region-specific challenges and promote sustainable, profitable farming. The initiative connects local agri departments, private institutions, and stakeholders while employing local resources for outreach and engagement.
Aayarpadi Agri Council partners with digital agri platforms to onboard farmers, provide services, and strengthen market linkages through rural employment models and farmer collection centres — creating replicable, scalable solutions that enhance farmers' livelihoods across Tamil Nadu.

Agri Council Scope
- The objective of Agri Council is to identify the geographical area of operation with respect to individual commodities.
- Identify 15–20 such clusters specific to one or more commodities in each cluster.
- Commodities like paddy in Thanjavur, vegetables in Coimbatore & Madurai, millets from Ramanathapuram, turmeric from Erode, banana from Trichy.
- The geography spans Tamil Nadu's major agro-climatic zones from northern to southern districts.
- Onboard 1,000–2,000 farmers who are growing similar commodities in that region.
- Gather data on a regular basis for 6–12 months based on the commodities.
- During this process identify and address the actual needs in that region to make farming of that particular commodity sustainable and profitable.
Agri Council Cluster Development
- Identification of the region in relation to the commodity for the project.
- Connecting all local agri-related departments and private institutions in that area for channelizing resources.
- Hiring local people to onboard farmers in that region to the project.
- Developing systems to capture real-time data throughout the crop cycle.
- Studying the current ecosystem with existing problems and evolving solutions along with stakeholders by continuously engaging them.
- By end of the crop cycle we will have workable and implementable solutions specific to that commodity in that region.
Agri Council Platform for Implementation
- We identify partners with necessary expertise in cluster implementation to scale agri programmes across Tamil Nadu.
- Digital platforms bring the agri community under one network to enhance visibility, connectivity, and market opportunities.
- Cloud, mobile, and digital technologies take information and engagement closer to farmers, transforming rural employment as the last-mile connectivity model.
